The University of London is a federal university composed of 18 independent member institutions - referred to as 'colleges' - with a central administration under the Chancellor.

The University of Wales was an independent federal university composed of three colleges, Cardiff University, Swansea University, and Bangor University, with a central administration under the Vice-Chancellor.

Overall and for my personal situation, the Master's degree at Aberystwyth University in Wales was a positive and worthwhile experience. Besides the actual masters' classes that I attended and created for myself, the department environment was a good community to be a part of and everyone was helpful even though it is such a large school compared to others. The geography department is also in a great location on campus away from any other departments which makes it very quiet and almost like a small village within the campus with its own dining hall for all of us masters students. It is also right next to the Bookstore which comes in handy as well ;). Overall my masters studies were definitely appreciated by this student and I always recommend it to anyone else interested in going abroad to continue their education alongside their career goals!
