What documents do I need to submit to make a UK university application?
Below are the documents required to gain admission into a UK univerisity. However, it is important to have an understanding of the different university degree requirements which are: foundation, undergraduate and post graduate degrees. For those of you who do not meet the entry requirements in to their first year of study at that university, you would need to do a foundation degree. A foundation degree would equip you with the necessary skills qualifying you for direct entry into year one. Foundation degrees last between 6 to 12 months depending on the course. Same goes with Master's degree programs, for those of you who do not meet entry requirements for certain courses like public health, Social Work, computer science, you would be required to do a premasters. A premasters would qualify and you equip you with the necessary foundational skills required to make it for the master's. Premaster or extended masters last between 6 to 9 months.
For undergraduate and foundations programs
- Qualifying certificate: GCE A Levels, Waec, Wassce, Cambridge A Levels or Baccalaureate
- English proficiency: minimum C6 in Waec, Neco, Wassce, C in G.C.E O level and IELTS of 6.0
- A personal statement not less than 500 words. (Check our guide)
- An academic reference letters.
- Copy of passport
- Updated CV if any gabs
For masters degree programs
- Qualifying certificate: Bachelor's degree certificate and transcripts (translated copies if not in English)
- English proficiency: minimum C6 in Waec, Neco, Wassce, C in G.C.E O level and IELTS of 6.5
- Updated CV till date with with no gabs
- A personal statement not less than 500 words and copy of passport
- 1 academic and 1 professional reference letter
- Copy of passport
For PhD and Research programs
- Research proposal of 1500 words min
- Qualifying certificate: Bachelor's or Masters degree certificate and transcripts (translated copies if not in English)
- English proficiency: minimum C6 in Waec, Neco, Wassce, C in G.C.E O level and IELTS of 6.5
- Updated CV till date with with no gabs
- A personal statement not less than 500 words and copy of passport
- 1 academic and 1 professional reference letter
- Copy of passport
