A recruitment consultant is responsible for attracting the right candidates for job roles for employers/clients that are either temporary or permanent in nature. It will be your role to liaise with the client/employer to find out exactly the type of profile they are looking for during the recruitment process. It will then be your responsibility to advertise the role in the right places, source the right candidates and prepare them for an interview, before finally creating the job offer and liaising with the client in order to commence employment. The role of a Recruitment Consultant requires an ability to work under pressure, have strong sales abilities, demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, be able to follow recruitment agency processes and also be able to create relevant documents and contracts in a timely manner. 5 TIPS FOR PASSING THE RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT INTERVIEW

TIP #1 - One of the most important qualities needed to become a competent Recruitment Consultant is being able to work under pressure and achieve difficult targets. The role is not for the faint-hearted and you will need to have a positive attitude and excellent communication/interpersonal skills in order to achieve.

TIP #2 - Prior to attending your recruitment Consultant interview, think of specific situations you have been in previously where you have (i) worked under pressure, (ii) achieved difficult goals and targets, (iii) demonstrated excellent communication, negotiation and persuasion techniques, and finally (iv) followed policies and processes to achieve consistent results.

TIP #3 - During the Recruitment Consultant interview, there will be a number of behavioral/situational-type questions asked. The questions are designed to explore prior experience in specific situations that are relevant to the role of a Recruitment Consultant.
